The Guided Spain Motorbike tour kicks off from Plymouth with an overnight cruise, and takes us along some of the best motorbike tour roads that Spain or even Europe has to offer. Taking in mountain ranges, stunning vistas and many interesting places to see along the way…. with time to relax and experience some of Spain’s famous hospitality, weather, food and culture.

 The Guided Spain Motorbike tour– itinerary

Day 1 Plymouth to Santander   At Plymouth a member of our team will meet you at the port before boarding the ferry for the overnight cruise to northern Spain. Everyone is provided with a cabin. The Brittany ferries ship has bars, restaurants, a cinema and  evening entertainment, so time to relax and enjoy!

Day 2 – Santander ferry to Logrono   From Santander we’ll  head up into the Cantabrian mountains, famous for the views and fantastic combinations of hairpins, tight twisty sections and flowing s-bends. It´s great way to start our journey. We’ll stop for the evening in Logrono, the capital of the wine region of La Rioja, a great place for eating out and Tapas.  156 miles / 250 km

Day 3 – Logrono to Bardenas reales  – Bardenas Reales is also known as europe’s most northern semi-desert. The erosion of chalk has created almost lunar effects, which appears in numerous TV adverts, music videos and films. You can easily imagine you are riding through New Mexico or Arizona. Later we’ll head up into the Pyrenees mountains passing through Jaca and the Ordesa national Park .  258 miles / 414 km 

Day 4 – El Pont de Suert to Caspe  After breakfast we’ll head south through some stunning scenery in the regions of Catalonia, Valencia and Aragon. Here we’ll stop for coffee before heading on towards out hotel.  290 miles / 467 km

Day 5 – Caspe to Belchite  This morning we’ll head into the old town of Belchite which was destroyed during the Spanish Civil War 1937.  The ruins were ordered by Franco to be left untouched as a “living monument” of war. There´ll be time for a walk around the ruins and a coffee, before heading on towards Teruel.  288 miles / 463 km

Day 6 – Cuenca to Cazorla   Today we´ll ride via the Cazorla National park this is the largest protected area in Spain. There are spectacular mountain ranges, deep  green river valleys, canyons, waterfalls and remote hilltop castles. After riding through the park we’ll stop for the night at our hotel.  236 miles / 380 km

Day 7 – Cazorla National Park to Carbonera    First of all this morning we’ll follow the twisty road back through the pine forests of the Cazorla National Park. Then we´ll ride through the Andalusian hills towards the coast. Stopping for a good nights rest at our hotel.  234 miles 375 km

Day 8 – Day off    We offer the option of riding up into the Sierra Nevada mountains through the Sierra Natural Park. This is later followed by a visit to Almeria`s spaghetti western Cowboy movie wild west show. Or Just relax.

Day 9 – Carbonera to Calahonda   After a good day’s rest it’s back into the Sierra Nevada mountains. Later, we’ll head back down to the coast to spend a night in an old traditional fishing village on the Mediterranean coast of Andalusia.  229 miles / 368 k

Day 10 – Calahonda to Ronda  This morning, our route takes us through the Andalusian mountains, which can only be described as pure biking heaven. This road combines numerous hairpins, tight twisty sections and flowing s-bends. We arrive at Ronda, best known for its large bridge that spans the river and divides the city.  218 miles / 350 km

Day 11 – Ronda to Aracena   After a night in Ronda it’s time to ride more of Spain’s brilliant roads with almost 200 miles of uninterrupted biking nirvana. As we ride across the great plains of Spain and through the Sierra National park.  207 miles / 333 km

Day 12 – Aracena to Guadalupe  We’ll set off this morning heading north through the Sierra Grande national park, experiencing more fantastic spanish roads. We’ll be stopping along the way for coffee and a bite to eat.  273 miles / 439 km

Day 13 – Guadalupe to Toro   via the Sierra de Gredos. We´ll stop for the night at our hotel in Toro, which is perched on a cliff overlooking the Duero River. This region is also center to one of Spain’s best wine-producing regions since the early middle ages. Time for a tipple or two!   231 miles / 372 km

Day 14 – Toro to Lugo   This morning we’ll cross the border into Portugal via – the National Park Portugal. Then its on towards the city of Lugo, set in the Celtic lands of Galicia. This Roman walled city boasts some some of the best restaurants in Galicia, serving excellent fresh meats and fish.  248 miles / 398 km

Day 15 – Lugo to Picos de Europa Spain   First of all we’ll head north through the Cantabrian mountains and then on towards the Picos de Europa national park. The stunning mountain roads are perfect for riding. With hundreds of miles of twisty roads to explore.  241 miles 387 km

Day 16 – Picos de Europa to Santander Spain   Our ride this morning takes us past lake Riana and along the ‘’pots and pans” route. Another stunning road that rises high up over the mountains, before twisting back down through a spectacular deep gorge.  Fianlly we arrive at the port to catch the ferry for our homeward journey. 141 miles / 226 km
